Crepuscular Rays Over Upper Seletar Reservoir

Crepuscular rays are often seen through the narrow breaks that separate strato cummulus. From the huge collection of photography books available at the National Library, I had picked up "Photographing Weather" by Storm Dunlop some time ago. The book inspired me to experiment when the light was going to be right. Here it was.

Scaly-Breasted Munia - Khatib Bongsu

During a morning walk within the Khatib Bongsu area, a group of scaly-breasted munia were feeding on tall grass. The low light, hyperactivity of the bird and wind made the shot difficult.

The Weighing Scale - Singapore Kampong Life

The kampong is mostly populated by fishermen and boat keepers. This scale might still be used to weigh the catch. A play on color and depth of field here.
