Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque - Johor Bahru
The mosque was built between 1892 and 1900 under the direction of Sultan Abu Bakar. His anglophile sentiments are clearly visible in the colonial English Victorian architecture of the building, with the minarets designed in the form of British 19th century clock towers.

Bridge over the Marina
Keppel Bay Vista bridge by the Marina at Keppel Bay. Interestingly, I was not allowed to take pictures of the boat at anchorage with the Reflection @ Keppel Bay in the backgound as a self important security guard stopped me and informed me that "pictures with DSLR are not allowed for security reasons". In my mind I thought that I should go back, use a quality point and shoot, stitch up a high resolution panorama out of 20 images and post it on the net... While we had planned to have a meal at the Marina, we changed our plan as we were clearly not welcomed.

Haw Par Villa - Singapore
A theme park depicting scenes from the Chinese mythology, Haw Par Villa was originally built in 1937 by the Aw brothers, inventors and manufacturers of the well known Tiger Balm. The park has since gone through good and bad days. Some areas are now derelict and closed to visitors.
