My first sighting of this bird in Singapore.

Still carrying branches to build its nest, this heron is a little late as most others have already completed the task.

A colony of grey herons decided to nest along Sungei Tampines, within the Pasir Ris Park. Currently, some are in the process of building their nests and others seem to be incubating their eggs. We can see between 20 to 30 nests and plenty of busy birds. Follow up visit is to be planned, to meet the chicks and observe the parents bringing food back to them.

A busy little bird caught as it was oberving the surroundings before flying to its nest to feed its chicks.
