It is hard to take a picture of a bird in flight. I had the impression that the camera was never fast enough to focus on the subject... Maybe it was the cold weather... Maybe it is just that more practice is necessary!

Blackbirds spend the night at higher altitude and come down over the village at a precise time every morning. It is the largest common birds roaming the area. A clear challenge to the photographer due to the strong contrast between the bird and the background... Flash with some compensation is helpful.
