Thaipusam is a Hindu festival celebrated by the Tamil community on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai (January/February).

On the Thaipusam day, most devotees of Lord Murugan offer him fruits and flowers of yellow or orange colour - his favorite colours - and also adorn dresses of the same colour.
