As I decided to go for a walk in Little India this morning, I had no ideas that there were special ceremonies held in Hindu temples. Indeed, it was the last day of a series of 9 days of prayers to the Goddess Vijayadashmi. The communities attached to the two temples I visited seemed to have different ways to celebrate this occasion. Above is one of the priests under a tent built beside the Sri Veerama Kaliamman temple.
